Avocado Toast

Avocado Toast

I’m on an avocado kick. I didn’t always love avocados…in fact, they used to make my whole mouth itch! The more I ate them, the less my reaction became and the more I grew to love them. They contain a lot of fiber, vitamins, and minerals such as vitamin K, vitamin E, vitamin C and B-vitamins, potassium, and copper! They have good fats in them that keep hair shiny and skin healthy. They are super satiating and the creamy texture is so satisfying!

I like to eat a 1/2 avocado sliced on my toast. I use Good Seed bread. I squeeze 1/2 a lemon on top, sprinkle with pink Himalayan salt, pepper, garam marsala & red pepper flakes. Delish!

Another favorite way to eat avocados is Avocado Pomegranate Egg Muffin!

Coconut Oil as a Hair Mask

Summer is rough on the hair. Sun and the wind can dry out fragile ends. Mine were looking rough so I simply applied coconut oil onto dry hair & let it sit for 20-30 minutes. I then washed and conditioned my hair like I normally do. This gives my ends moisture and makes it shine! I need a trim, but this helps so much until I can get those ends off! While you are letting the oil sit, rub some into your cuticles and gently push them back.

Glass Spray Bottles

These 16 oz clear glass, refillable spray bottles are my new fav. I use them to make homemade cleaners and I’m buying another set to use for plants –one to mist my plants with water for added moisture and another to make some homemade houseplant bug spray. They come with fun chalkboard labels and have both fine mist and focused stream spray. The plastic sprayers are BPA free, so can safely be used for food like an oil/vinegar/fresh herbs grilling spray!

Ongoing Obsessions

Kindle Fire

This ongoing obsession with my Kindle Fire is not letting up. I especially love using it in the evenings when tucked in bed. It’s like my own perfect sized, personal television. Before I indulge in watching Netflix, Amazon Prime shows, or my fav YouTube Channels,   I make sure I read at least a chapter or two of whatever book is on my Kindle. I love using the same device to both read and watch.

Essential Oil Diffuser

Still using it daily and love it! The Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser by AromaSoft is amazing for getting the scent out into larger rooms. It is priced very reasonably and works so well! After buying 4 other diffusers, I did some research, read a ton of reviews, and bought this one. I’m so happy I did!

I love your weekly goals. Do you write them out and post them somewhere, like on your fridge or in a planner of some sort?

Hi! Right now I refer back to the AP Weekly post that I write each week. I am in the process of making some printable reference cards and will be sharing those on the blog soon! I plan on keeping the cards on a ring so they are portable and can hang from a hook. I may even find a hook magnet and hang them on my refrigerator! Join my email list if you want to be informed when they are ready to be printed and used. Sign up is in my sidebar.
