Welcome Sorta Crunchy Readers! Here’s A Bit About Me:

When Megan from Sorta Crunchy asked if I would guest post while she enjoyed a trip away for a few day, I was more than happy to oblige.  Her blog is one I have read since I discovered the joy of blogging, so it made me smile when she asked if I would be a part of her 40 Days Of Joy.  You can click here to read my guest post about what brings me joy, and to visit her beautiful blog.

If you are visiting from Sorta Crunchy, let me WELCOME you!  I hope you enjoy a quick visit here at New Nostalgia.  I would love for you to continue with me, as I try to do life simply and well, with a mission to get back to the basics.

{me and my DH}
Here are a few posts that will give you a peek into my world:
Recipes-I try hard to use ingredients that have been around awhile, before processed “food” came about.  Simple and healthful is my goal.
Beauty-I am a hairstylist turned full time homemaker, so the creative in me loves to find beauty in everything.  I like to explore beauty, without spending a fortune doing it.
Family-oh, to have this one figured out.  I love being a mom.  I do my best, but have much to learn!  My prayer is that I will never stop growing as I explore this thing called motherhood.  I post as I go, sharing the things I discover that help me in this amazing job called “mom.”
{Fall Break Fun} (could be spring break, too:))
Crafts-again, I love to create, and so do my 3 girls (age 10, 9 & 6). Here are some of the things we have done together.
Homemaking-a job I take very seriously.  We have such power as moms to create an environment to (as my joy post said) hurt or heal.  I desire home to be a place where my family can come and be fully who they are, and to heal from what life brings. This, to me, makes home environment so important!
Spirituality-it is THE thread that holds all of who I am together, it affects all that I do, because He is.
Thanks again for visiting and reading!
Please come back,  and know that you are invited to participate in my
“Anti-Procrastination Tuesdays” Link Party. It is a place where you and I can get things done together!
I would love to have you link up or leave a comment!

    Amy-
I’ve never heard of Sorta Crunchy– but I skip around on your blog every now and again and today- I really liked what I read.

I guess I should say the post that got me really interested in reading your blog was “My Prayer Bench”

I like what I read here and find it refreshing for a young mom such as yourself making a difference in the world- through the lives in your home first.

Thanks for a good read now maybe I’ll check out the Sorta Crunchy Blog.
