Christmas shopping for my girls is in full swing! My girls are growing up so quickly, and I have only one tween left. Teagan is 16, Colsie is 14 & Avery is 12. Thank goodness I still have my lil’ Avery!
Even though she is not a teenager yet, she has a distinct style and her own opinions when it comes to the clothes she wears. I really love her style. She is sporty with a touch of girly sparkle. I wanted to buy her some clothes for Christmas but needed to her to point out a few of her favorite things so “Santa” will get it right– if you know what I mean!
I took her to the mall and straight into Justice. Justice is definitely a destination for stylish tween girls this holiday season. Whether shopping in-store or online, Justice makes it easy and hassle-free for anyone with a tween girl in their life to find some special holiday gifts.
Justice has got you covered no matter what style your tween is embracing at the moment. Whether you have a sporty athlete like my Avery, or a girly girl, or a fashion trend setter; Justice makes shopping for every girl easy and fun. The store was even organized into fashion types and we of course, headed right to the sporty section.
It was fun to see what Avery gravitated toward. I loved seeing her point out plaid (which is huge this season!) and also lots of neon yellow, which made sense as it is her soccer team’s main jersey color. She also loves anything that is super soft & cozy, and she showed me quite a few soft & cuddly items.
We loved being in the store together, and I especially enjoyed the dressing room area. It is so light & bright & spacious that Avery did not complain once when I asked her to try some things on. This is usually not her favorite thing to do, but having great dressing rooms made it easy. There was even a bubble gum machine for a little bubbly snack to refresh my girl, & a great place for me to sit and rest while waiting.
I took some photos and a mental note of what she liked, so I could pass it on to Santa, as “he” was a bit behind and had not made a list or checked it twice!
Here is what I bought for my girl…shhh!
Neon Yellow Fleece Hoodie — this is super soft & is the perfect color match of Avery’s soccer team. I love that it has little “thumbsies” — holes to keep your thumbs in which are great when putting on those winter coats to keep the sleeves in place.
Soft & Fluffy Warm Black Vest — this looks so cute over the neon yellow fleece hoodie that I bought for her, and will add an extra layer of warmth on our snowy, cold midwest winter days.
Super Cozy Slipper Socks — major cute and cozy factor!
Super Soft Fuzzy Black Hoodie — she is going to love this. It will feel like she is wearing a fuzzy blanket, which is so very “Avery.” She loves anything soft and snuggly.
Neon Yellow & Black Boot Socks — Avery loves boot socks. She wears a lot of stretch pants and has black suede boots, so boot socks add a nice pop of color at the top of her boots. These ‘Happy’ socks made me very, very happy!
Black & Blue Plaid Shirt– Avery loves blue, & this plaid flannel comes down long enough in the back to look nice & age appropriate with leggings.
Colorful Pens — I love that Justice not only carries clothes, but also all kinds of great stocking stuffers like jewelry, sparkly hair accessories, & glitter nail polish — which are the 3 main ways my Avery adds a bit of sparkle to her style. I know she will love taking these colorful ‘cutie critters’ pens to school after Christmas break.
A Holiday Photo Prop Kit — I will have her open this on Christmas Eve Day to enjoy with her cousins on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. I can’t wait to see the photos they are going to take!
I mentioned Avery loves just a touch of sparkle, which I think she gets from me! I love all things that sparkle! I wanted to make sure her packages sparkled under the tree, and decided that sparkly pipe cleaner was a great way to make her packages special. Tweens love being a bit different from everyone else, so I think she will love that her packages stand out from the rest.
Pipe cleaner is super easy to work with. I love bending it around a pen & making it swirly & curly. Just stretch it out after curling to give it a more ‘wavy’ look. Stick straight is fun, too, and makes the package look funky and modern.
