My Favorite Healthy Snack

My favorite healthy snack lately?  An Apple and Justin’s Maple Almond Butter!
MMMMM!

I have found myself on the go a lot recently, so lately I have been throwing an apple and a packet of Justin’s Maple Almond Butter in my bag, just in case I get the munchies.

It is so convenient, I just take a bite of my apple, then squeeze the almond butter right on.  It tastes like dessert to me, and reminds me of a caramel apple, just not so sticky and sweet.

I love this on Pink Lady apples, and I also love it on green Granny Smith apples.
The sweet almond butter goes perfectly with the tart apple.
Delish!

While I Slept, I Was Featured!

I love writing this blog.  It is a creative outlet for me and the blog community is a huge blessing to me.

There are very few times when I just can’t get to the blog, and these last few days have been one of those times.  Blogger was down for an entire day at the end of the week, which threw my post plans, then I came down with the same virus my 10 year old has been fighting all week.  I had to go off all of my vitamins and supplements for my most recent surgery, and I was slow to get back into the groove of taking them all again.  I think this made me extra vulnerable to her germs.  I am so very grateful that through this 9 month fight with breast cancer, this is the first cold virus I have had to fight!!  I slept much of the weekend, and New Nostalgia sat neglected by me.
I was pleasantly surprised when I logged on this evening that there had been many visitors to my little site, despite my neglect!  When I looked at where these visitors were coming from, I was so excited to see that two of my most favorite sites had featured New Nostalgia!

What an honor and a blessing!

White Chocolate Raspberry Bites

I think the raspberry is pretty much perfection, just how it is.

But when I saw this idea on Sasha Libby via Pinterest, I knew my girls would have a blast stuffing raspberries with white chocolate chips and popping them in their mouths.  They did..:)

Cute, huh?

These would be cute at a Valentines Day brunch or a fun 4th of July snack.

My girls called them candy.

That made me happy.

How To Print Recipes At New Nostalgia-Print Friendly

 {black arrow is pointing to the Print Friendly button}
I wanted to make sure you all know that there is a nifty little Print Friendly button at the bottom of each page, that comes in very handy when you want to print something here at New Nostalgia.
When you click on the Print Friendly button at the bottom of a post, it takes that particular post to the print friendly site, and will give you some options.  A button I find helpful is the “no images” button.
Click this and save on printer ink!

This is what it looks like with no images.  Simply click the print button to print!
