Gotta Love Valentines Day!
I loved this post on Blogher by Susan Wagner, and completely agree with her. You don’t have to be a size 3 and in your twenties to wear skinny jeans. Don’t believe me? Click on this link, and check out her post and picture…she is rocking those jeans! I think she looks great, tasteful and age appropriate.
Once a year, my husbands side of the family leave all the kids at home and go out for an adults- only, fancy dinner. A private room, our own waiter, beautiful hors d’oeuvres, delicious dinner and dessert, great company and conversation–we are so spoiled! It truly is a special night, one I look forward to every year.
I made this little heart shaped pom-pom by using silver twist ties, inspired by these from Nice Package.
I wanted to get more creative with labels, but I couldn’t get my setting right on the printer for envelopes, so I gave up after the heart print. I was really wishing I was a stamper right about then, I know there are some really great Valentine stamps out there, which would be easy and look great.
Instead, I just kept them minimal. I plan on filling these with treats and love notes, and sitting them at the breakfast table on Valentine’s day for my 3 little sweets!

This is our version of a great craft tutorial over at Skip To My Lou.
They were really easy to make! We filled ours with mints, red hots,
chocolates, feathers, coins, and stickers. I made these with my
first grader and her cousin who is the same grade.
They really loved it, especially getting to turn the crank on the crimper.

Our one and only shower is in the main
bathroom and
we share it with our girls,
so we’d have to keep our
notes tasteful and rated PG.:)
